Issues: Scientific researches have made it possible today for HIV positive women to have non-infected babies. But women living with HIV/AIDS in developing countries find it nearly impossible, due to their poor economic situation. Yet they manage in one way or the other to make the ends meet; that is having babies. Description: In this paper we will show how, just like any other woman, those living with HIV/AIDS feel a strong desire of procreation. This passion usually leads them to either risky sexual practice or, conscious of their financial situation, they design survival methods in order to meet their objectives. This information gathered through various counselling sessions enables us to understand that they often hide their positive serology to their partners, thus not only infecting their partners, but increasing risks of their own re-infection. Lessons Learned: The strong appeal to bring forth live drive women living with HIV/AIDS to risk their lives. Moreover some have developed survival methods so long as they can have babies. Recommendations: The cost of insemination methods should be reduced for women in developing countries. Researchers should investigate on these archaic methods used by women in developing countries and see how they can improve them.
